Rosdee Thai-Chinese Restaurant @ Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok

I think there will be a very slim chance of tourists eating at Rosdee because its distance from Bangkok city centre. But because the hotel we stayed at is located just a stone throws away from the restaurant, we decided to have a light brunch here after getting the locals recommendation.

Sumi Nabe Bincho-tan Charcoal Steamboat @ M-Avenue, Segambut

The special thing about Sumi Nabes steamboat is their Bincho-tan charcoal-fired stove which they use as the restaurants main marketing tool. If you are wondering if it is effective, well I did dine here because of that. And the price seemed quite alright too considering it is only RM37 for a...

OId Cathay Cinema Char Koay Teow @ Jalan Ali, Muar

Coming from Penang myself I have ridiculously high standards when it comes to Char Koay Teow. But it also means I might be biased when judging Char Koay Teow from other states. In the Southern parts of Malaysia like Melaka, Johor and Singapore, Char Koay Teow is fried to appear dark but the overall concept

Hung Kee Wantan Mee @ Jalan Loke Yew

If you travel along Jalan Loke Yew frequent enough you will notice Hung Kee restaurant, an old institution many claim to serve one of the best Wantan Mee in KL. Now thats a claim I heartily disagree with. First of all, do know that your noodles are prepared by foreign workers (nothing personal...

Laem Cha Reon Seafood Restaurant @ Siam Paragon, Bangkok

Bangkok has a lot of seafood restaurants and Laem Cha Reon is one of the popular ones frequented by both locals and tourists alike. Being a chained restaurant, you could find Laem Cha Reon branches in most of the major shopping malls like Siam Paragon and Central World. They have a friendly menu with English

Ril’s Steakhouse @ Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar

For a restaurant that claims to serve the best Steak in KL I expect Rils to the very least, be able to prepare my meat properly according to my specified doneness. I dont know why but the steaks I have had recently all have been less than satisfying due to overcooking. And the...

Restoran Ayam Bakar Wong Solo @ Taman Sentosa Villa, Kajang

Wong Solo is one of my favorite Indonesian restaurants in Klang Valley and you could find their outlets in major townships easily. For those who eat Indonesian food on a regular basis you will find their menu nothing surprising and comprises many common and traditional Indonesian dishes. I have tried their...

Traditional Tong Sui Stall @ Glutton Street, Muar

If you are visiting Muar I am pretty sure you would visit their famous Glutton Street. Although there are quite a number of stalls along the street, most of the food is repetitive since there are multiple stalls selling the same thing. But among all, there is one dessert stall which I find quite unique

Restaurant Cava Spanish Mediterranean Cuisine @ The Bangkung Row, Bangsar

Last year I took SL to Opus an Italian restaurant at The Bangkung Row to celebrate her birthday. This year, as much as I tempted to bring her to the same restaurant again (because the food is just really good) we decided to try out Cava instead. It is a Spanish and Mediterranean restaurant

Mee Pok @ Coconut Garden Food Court, Muar

Coconut Garden is a popular food court in Muar, busiest between breakfast and lunch hours. It is also here where you will find one of the best Mee Pok in town. This simple but satisfying noodle is more commonly found in Southern Malaysia and Singapore but you could find it in Klang Valley as well

Tian Siang Hui Wei Hot Pot 天香回味 @ IOI Boulevard, Puchong

I dont always buy vouchers from group-buying sites. But when I do, I make sure it is worth it. Recently Groupon had a deal for Tian Siang Hui Wei a restaurant that could be summarized as a fine-dining grade of steamboat/hot pot based on their pricing and service. I have heard a lot about
