YouTube akhirnya bersedia untuk menganjurkan anugerah muzik sendiri. Anugerah Muzik YouTube (YouTube Music Awards) dijangka bakal diadakan pada bulan November dan acara itu akan dikuasakan oleh peminat muzik dan artis-artis di belakang di laman video. Upacara ini akan diadakan di New York pada 3 November.
